The region invites bikers, in particular mountain bikers, to race over rough and smooth, over woodland paths and mountain trails. At first it’s all about gritting one’s teeth, pushing deep into those pedals and breaking into a sweat slowly battling one’s way higher and higher. Cable cars are a favourite - and permitted - doping agent. At the top you don’t only enjoy fresh mountain air but also fascinating views and the welcome refreshments in the huts. Then, it’s all the way downhill.
